Vintage pair of Camaleonda elements consisting of a seat and backrest each re-upholstered in a luxurious turquoise velvet.

The Camaleonda was designed in the 70s for B&B Italia (then known as C&B Italia). Designed for the MOMA show called 'The New Domestic Landscape' in 1972. It was immediately an imminent success. Mario Bellini was known for experimenting with materials and innovative  production methods. The name 'Cameleonda' derives from the word chameleon (camaleonte in Italian) and the noun 'onda' (wave). Both words joined together make up the name of the design. Its modular character allows for the sofa elements to be flexibly used in various interior settings. Despite being well received at the time, B&B Italia stopped its production after only eight years in 1979. Nontheless, the design has become iconic and B&B Italia relaunched the Camaleonda in 2020. This is an original vintage model from the 70s.

Conditon: very good vintage, re-upholstered.
