The design of the anthropomorphic table lamp "Shogun" by Artemide find its expression in strict geometrical, simple shapes. The two revolving perforated sheet-metal diffusers are on a white and black striped column from lacquered metal. The light coming from outside produces an exciting interplay of lights and shadows, the pattern of which can be modified just by adjusting the half cylindrical diffusers. This lamp which is now a classic generates an ambient direct and indirect room lighting. Shogun is exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art of New Yord in the design collection.
